Use of Computational Fluid Dynamics to Study Ammonia Concentrations at Pedestrian Height in Smart Broiler Chamber Clusters

NH3 emissions are an environmental issue that is of wide concern in livestock production. In intensive farming, it necessary to study outdoor ammonia concentrations under various conditions maximize the protection caretakers’ health and around facilities. this study, outside smart broiler chambers 60 scenarios, with including 4 chamber densities, 3 wind directions, 5 outlet emission intensities, were simulated based on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technology. The results show (1) tends accumulate near when direction angle small, while has a wider range influence vertical; (2) building cluster for farming environmentally friendly; (3) keeping perpendicular local dominant can effectively prevent high chambers. practical applications, conclusions be used arrange layout clusters.
